Thank you for visiting my website! My name is Bobby Orozco, and I am a fourth-year undergraduate Pure Mathematics student at California State University, Fullerton.
My research interests include abstract algebra, arithmetic geometry, and connections between mathematics and music theory. I have previously co-authored a paper in which we describe an explicit algorithm for reconstructing rational-valued functions on finite abelian groups using higher autocorrelations. I have also developed a genetic algorithm for identifying summands of exponential sums.
I am currently working on a project that investigates the relationship between abstract algebra and music theory, specifically examining the preservation of pitch class sets under different affine transformations of the integers modulo 12.
